Keith Duane Bowden, age 86, of Taylor, Texas, departed this earthly life to be with his Heavenly Father on February 19, 2024. Born on June 12, 1937, in Admire, Kansas, to Clifford and Darlene Bowden, Keith's legacy is one marked by love, family, and community. Keith's journey was intertwined with the threads of family devotion and hard work.
A graduate of Mercedes High School in 1955, he married his beloved Mary Ann Pechacek on February 3, 1962. Together, they raised three cherished daughters: Teresa, Debbie, and Cindy. Keith's commitment extended to his community, where he owned and operated Bowden’s Farm Supply in Taylor, TX. Active in Taylor’s Lions Club, Keith exemplified a life of service and camaraderie. Even in retirement, his hands crafted wonders in his wood-working shop, a testament to his enduring passion. An avid fisherman, Keith found solace and joy by the water, often accompanied by his loving family. His devotion extended to his grandchildren, attending each sporting event with unwavering support. Known affectionately as "Ama and Papa," Keith and Mary Ann’s presence at these gatherings was a source of comfort and pride for the grandchildren.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Darlene Bowden, and his brother, Leonard Bowden.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by his devoted wife of over 62 years, Mary Ann; daughters, Teresa Schneider and husband Danny; Debbie Bowden and Beth; and Cindy Srnensky and husband Kelly; grandchildren, Aaron Schneider and wife Stephenie, Staci Braden and husband Corey, Cameron Schneider and wife Morgan, Seth Srnensky and wife Kelsie, and Ryan Srnensky; eight great-grandchildren; and sister Janice Millner and husband Bill.
A graveside service will be held at Granger City Cemetery on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM, where Keith will be laid to rest. Pallbearers, including grandsons Aaron Schneider, Corey Braden, Cameron Schneider, Seth Srnensky, Ryan Srnensky, and great-grandson Colton Schneider, will carry him with honor. In remembrance, Keith's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
