Kayla Lynn Wuensche

June 20, 2000 — May 9, 2019

Kayla was born in Austin, Texas on June 20, 2000 to John Wuensche and Linda Smith Wuensche. She left us on May 9, 2019 in a tragic single car accident near her home in Taylor.

Kayla graduated from Taylor High School in May 2018. She was a National Honor Society member in junior high and high school. She was a proud Taylor High School High Stepper serving as the social officer her junior year and as second lieutenant her senior year. She participated in basketball while in junior high. She was proud of her Czech heritage learning to speak Czech and then singing Czech songs at church and other venues. She was a gifted piano player and received many awards for her proficiency.

She was a member of the Taylor Brethren Church and supported her church by serving as a nursery assistant, being a Sunday school teacher, playing the piano at the junior children’s assembly, the children’s music time, was a BYF member, and attended church camp. She was an active member of the SPJST Beyersville Lodge 48 Youth Club since age 6 attending activities for the organization by serving as a Beseda Dancer, as a youth club president, as a participant in youth achievement day, and as a leader in training summer camp counselor.

She served her community in many ways including volunteering at Shephard’s Heart Food Pantry, walking the dogs at the Taylor Animal Shelter, babysitting for the Community Bible Study, and proudly representing her town as the 2015 Taylor Rodeo Queen. She was an avid reader and enjoyed books by author Nicholas Sparks as well as series such as Sweet Valley Twins and Friends and Harry Potter. Kayla thoroughly enjoyed working at Taylor ISD, Golden Chick, What-A-Burger, and recently H.E.B. where she treasured meeting new people.

She was currently pursuing her post-secondary education in child psychology at Temple College at Taylor and Hutto.

Kayla had a zest for life and took time to travel with the love of her life, Michael, to enjoy many experiences with camping, historical sites, zoos, etc.

Kayla was an incredible beam of sunshine to all who knew her and she lived by Proverbs 31:25…She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
