Julie Richardson

Julie Richardson passed away on December 26, 2022, at the age of 91. She passed peacefully in the hospital with her daughters Brenda Potter Marshall, Rise’ Smith and son Archie Benjamin Richardson by her side.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 22, 1974, and remained faithful to Jehovah until her death.  She earned a degree in childhood education from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. She loved her decades long career as a Kindergarten teacher.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Sherman and Agnes Colley Sherman; former husband Donald Edward Richardson, Sr.; son Donald Edward Richardson Jr.; brother Clifford Sherman Jr.; William Leon Sherman and sister-in-law Nanny Sherman; brother Joseph Sherman; and brother-in-law Maceo Shaw.

Julie is survived by her siblings Joyce Shaw; A. Patricia Bullard and brother-in-law Gary Bullard; brother Harold Sherman and sister-in-law Mary Sherman; sister-in-law Judy Sherman; daughter Rise’ Smith and son-in-law Richard Smith; daughter Brenda Potter Marshall and son-in-law Roy Marshall; son Archie Benjamin Richardson; grandson Guy A. Potter Jr.; granddaughter Felicia Smith; grandson Dwayne Potter; grandson Richard Smith Jr.; grandson Michael Potter; grandson Joseph Smith; grandson Jonathan Potter; grandson Alexander Benjamin Richardson; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
