Jose Maria (Tony) Olvera, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Ascension Seaton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX. He was born January 4, 1941 in Alice, Tx to Estella Hernandez and Teodoro Diaz Olvera, Sr.
Tony is survived by his wife Mary, sons Julian and Rico, step-son Jasser; grandchildren Miguel and Alex; his two beloved dogs named Joaquin and Jimena. He is also survived by his loving aunt, uncle, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was a United States Air Forces veteran for 20 years. Following retiring from the military. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 2003.
He loved playing poker, chess, exercising, walking his dogs, and reading James Paterson novels.
