Jonathan Edward Nieves

Jonathan Edward Nieves, 30 years old, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2017.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Providence Funeral Home Friday September 15, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm, with Rosary at 7pm.  The funeral service will be held at 10am on September 16, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor, Texas. Father Jairo Sandoval-Pliego of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Providence Funeral Home.

Jonathan was born in Taylor, Texas on October 9, 1986. He graduated from Stony Point High School and attended Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.

Jonathan worked as a bus mechanic for Round Rock Independent School District. He enjoyed working on cars, playing video games, and loved spending time with his friends and family (especially the kids).

Jonathan is survived by John Nieves, Luisa Alvarez Nieves, older brother Daniel Nieves and twin brother John Phillip Nieves and wife Ciara, beloved niece Madilyn Elizabeth Nieves, Grandmothers Migdalia Nieves of Brooklyn, New York, and Alicia Alvarez of Taylor, TX, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and longtime childhood friends.

Jonathan is preceded in death by Grandfathers, Fidel Romo Alvarez and Eddie Lopez. Great Grandmother Julia Vasquez. Godfather and Uncle Manuel Hernandez.  Uncle Santos Alvarez Sr., cousin, Santos Alvarez Jr.
