Johnny Joe Trevino, Jr., 57, of Granger, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock.
Johnny was born in Rockdale, Texas on August 14, 1964, to Johnny Joe Trevino, Sr. and Eduviques (Patsy) Trevino. He was the oldest of 6, with two brothers, one sister, a half-brother, and a stepbrother. Johnny had one daughter, Cydney, and two stepchildren, Charity, and Steven, and 8 grandchildren.
Johnny loved football, playing during his school years in Granger, and later helping coach in Granger Youth League. Johnny started out as an electrician for AAA Electric, then worked as an Electronics Technician at IBM/Selectron. For the last several years, he helped babysit his grandchildren, sharing with them his unique and entertaining wisdom and his great sense of humor.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents.
Johnny is survived by his children Cydney Trevino of Granger, Charity (Brandon) Krummich of Jarrell, and Steven Bryan of Fulton, Missouri, his brother Larry (Belinda) Trevino of Taylor, brother Pilar (Rachel) Trevino of Paducah, Kentucky, sister Veronica Trevino of Denver, Colorado, half-brother Christopher Trevino of Varennes, Quebec Canada, and stepbrother David Schweitzer of Granger. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
A memorial to celebrate Johnny’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. The family is requesting that masks be worn during the service and a private burial, will take place at a later date.
