Jo Ann Rodriguez Carrizales

Jo Ann Rodriguez Carrizales, 68 of Taylor passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas.

She was born on June 19, 1951 to Refugio and Avelina Rodriguez in Thorndale, Texas. Jo Ann married Mario “Marty” G. Carrizales on September 4, 1971 in Taylor.

Jo Ann was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. She graduated from Thrall High School in 1970. She worked for the Williamson County and Cities Health District and retired in 2005.

Jo Ann loved spending time with her husband, granddaughter; and dogs in her backyard. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and working on puzzles.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents Refugio Rodriguez; Avelina Gonzales; Grandmother Lucia Ybarra; and her beloved dogs Wicket, Rudy, and Munchkin.

She is survived by her husband Mario “Marty” G. Carrizales; daughter Stephanie M. Carrizales and granddaughter Avelina Carrillo and her son Gabriel J. Carrizales of Minnesota; brother Richard Rodriguez and his wife Cathy; sister Jeanette Rodriguez; nieces Crystal and Charlotte Carrillo of Taylor; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Providence Funeral Home, with rosary recited at 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday January 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
