Jimmy Carl Foster

Lieutenant Jimmy Carl Foster, US Navy Retired, age 65, passed away in Round Rock, TX on February 2, 2018. Lt. Foster was born on August 26, 1952 in Waco, TX to Maurice and Mabel Foster. He is survived by his loving wife Julie Foster, children Jimmy Carl and Janie Foster, Jonathan Cory and Lynn Foster, Anthony and Lydia Martinez, Amanda and Mark Chadwick, grandchildren Cyle, Briana, Cody, Cayla, Jacey, Elizabeth, Justis, Gabe, Andrew, Alyssa, great grandson Landon, sisters Glenda Hammock, Betty McDaniel, Patsy Kellam, and step brother Steve Foster. He is preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Foster.

A diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, it is rumored that he died to avoid the Eagles vs Patriots Super Bowl. He was a proud, funny, and simple person, and at five foot three, he was the biggest little man we knew. Direct or indirect he was always teaching. Most would concur he lived by the old saying "do as I say, not as I do" but rest assured, if you listened to what he had to say you would be fine. His compassion and willingness to do for others was immeasurable. Through all his greatest strengths and weaknesses his story wouldn't be complete without mentioning spiders.  If you wanted a laugh put Jimmy and a Spider in the same room. Oh boy!!   "Go Cowboys!"

A viewing will take place at Providence Funeral Home on February 6th at noon, with the service immediately following at 2pm.  The service will be officiated by Lowell Routley.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.  If plan on attending please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time and meet at the entrance to be escorted to the place of service.
