Jessie Don Lopez

November 20, 1979 — October 14, 2023

Jessie Don Lopez parted this world to be with his Lord and Savior on October 14, 2023, at the age of 43.

Jessie is survived by his siblings, Mark Anthony Lopez, Adrian (Camille) Lopez, and Ashley (Bobby) Raymond. His nieces and nephew: Hannah, Riley, and Isabella Raymond, Zoe, Jaylin, and Roman Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lopez Sr., his mother Estella Lopez and a brother, Daniel Lopez Jr.

Jessie was born on November 20, 1979 in Taylor. He graduated from Thrall High School in 1998.

Jessie was passionate about Jesus, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Thrall Tigers. He taught Youth basketball for a few years in his younger years.

Jessie gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ at the young age of 20 yrs old. As a faithful servant of God, he was called into ministry at this age.

He began preaching and evangelizing the Gospel of Jesus to as many as he could reach. In 2005, he became the co-pastor of La Hermosa church in Hutto, under the leadership of then, Pastor Jerry Reynaga. He worked hard and was fully dedicated to this role.

In 2014, the Lord called him to pastor ship. He founded Touching the Heart Ministries and became the Pastor of this congregation.

Jessie was a devout preacher, teacher, and mentor to so many. He touched the hearts of all who were around him.

It was in the year of 2020 that he was diagnosed with cancer. As many know, he shared this long journey with us all. His endurance, strength, and unwavering faith was witnessed by all. It was during this time that he went through many different changes in his life and he could no longer carry Touching the Heart Ministries forward. However, his love for Christ kept him serving fervently and he continued to seek God for guidance.

His ministry continued as THM-Powerhouse through the Word of God and music, along with his siblings and brother-in-law. They traveled to many cities until his sickness would no longer allow it.

In 2020, he became a strong pillar, and foundation member of Saving Grace Church. In 3 years, he served as teacher, preacher, board member, men's leader, elder, attendance keeper, administration of SGC FB account and gave announcements on a weekly basis. He was always ready to help and work diligently. He was loyal, committed, and faithful until the very end. His commitment to Saving Grace Church was seen by his loyalty to his Pastors. He delighted in pleasing God by serving his church, and all that he did, with excellence.

Jessie was an anointed man of God and an inspiration to all. He fought the good fight and finished his ministry here on Earth, and today he stands face to face with Jesus, completely healed and made whole. His memory will live in our hearts forever.
