Jessica Louisa Carranza

Jessica Louisa Carranza, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece, companion, and friend, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at the age of 50, She was born on August 18, 1972 in Houston, Tx. The third child of four and the daughter of Camilo and Virginia Carranza. Jessica graduated from Taylor High School in 1991. One of her proud accomplishments was being "Waddles" the mascot for the Taylor Fighting Ducks. After high school she attended A.C.C. and became a daycare provider. She never had children of her own but loved the children she took care of as her own. After several years of having her own daycare she decided to focus on helping our parents with their family restaurant, "Carranza's Taco Depot." She enjoyed cooking, baking, and serving customers. It was after the loss of our mother that her health began to deteriorate. She seemed lost at times without our mom. Her health was always up and down but with support of her family and the love of her life she got through many health scares. Jess loved music , especially her R & B love ballads. She enjoyed baking, her social media, and getting together with family. She adored her companion and love of her life Ernest Tanguma where they enjoyed their fur babies, Bella Marie and Ginger and hosting dinners for family.

Jessica is preceded in death by her parents Camilo and Virginia Carranza, and her late partner Saul Salazar.

Jessica is survived by the love of her life, caregiver, and best friend Ernest Tanguma, her sister Yvonne (Armando) Oranday, brothers Caesar (Melissa) Carranza, and Victor (Corina) Carranza, her nieces Stacy Lopez, Jade Oranday, Savannah Carranza, Audrey Carranza and Adlen Carranza, her nephews Abraham Oranday, and Mateo Carranza, her great-niece Iris Ramirez- Oranday, and great-nephew Jaxson Hernandez, also her many relatives and extended family with special recognition of the Vizena family ( the late Duane Vizena, Selynda, Jordyn, and Jake Vizena), and the Koncaba family ( Victor Sr., Elizabeth, Josie, Tori, Elliott, Victor Jr., and  A.J. Koncaba).
