Jesse Campos, age 72, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2017.  He was born in Hutto, Texas on February 28, 1945 and was a lifelong resident. Jesse graduated from Hutto High School in 1963 and attended Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin.  His love of numbers led him to work in accounting and payroll offices for the Stephen F. Jesse had a keen interest in world news, business, national and local politics, and in serving his country.  He joined the National Guard at a very young age and then was activated during Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan wars.  Jesse was very proud of his fellow soldiers and went the extra mile to insure each soldier received his pay in a timely fashion.  He received numerous awards and commendations for his efforts and retired with 42 years of military service.

Jesse was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hutto and was very generous with his time, talent and treasure. He was a member of St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 12927 and served as Financial Secretary for many years.  Jesse was a member of the Parish Finance Council, the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and Auxiliary Member of the Legion of Mary.  He was a member of the Richard A. Oman American Legion Post 302, and served as a Williamson County Election Judge. Jesse had a great love for nature and animals and was always willing to provide a home for stray animals. He was an untiring servant of God and helped anyone in need.  He was a true friend to everyone he met.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Isabel Campos, his sister Isabel, brother Roman and sister-in-law Mary Alice Campos, sister Esperanza, and niece Clarissa Campos.  He will be dearly missed by his family:  Luisa Lerma (husband Rudy) of Hutto, Julio Campos (wife Elizabeth) of Round Rock, Delia Villarreal (husband Edward) and Juan Campos of Austin.  He will also be missed by his nephew Chris Campos of Austin, nephew Christopher Lerma of Round Rock, niece Laura Lerma of Hutto, great niece Cecelyn, great nephew Ronin, and other family and friends.
