Jerry Dee Herzog

Jerry Dee Herzog, 62, of Thorndale, passed away September 4th 2023 in his beloved family home where he raised his three children.  Jerry was born on October 16, 1960 in Houston, Texas alongside his twin brother, Terry.

Jerry was a devoted son, husband, father and Popo.  Jerry was a machine operator at his family’s business at Herzog Drilling and loved what he did along side his family so much.  He had a passion for drilling holes and being an operator and wouldn’t have wanted to work anywhere else.

Jerry is survived by his three children:  his son, Jonathan Herzog and wife Laura, his son Jason Herzog and wife Ashley, and his daughter Andrea Perrin and husband Derek.  His grand babies, Hayden, Parker, James, Olivia, and Hannah.  He is also survived by his father, Glenn Herzog, his twin brother Terry Herzog, his sister Linda Bradshaw, and his brother Bobby Herzog.  Jerry is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 28 years Kathleen Herzog, his mother Virginia Nell Hard, his step-mother Britta Herzog, his brother Larry Herzog, his mother and father-in-law Dolores and Thomas Cassin, his two nephews BJ Herzog and Jordy Herzog, and his brother-in-law Jimmy Bradshaw.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Herzog, Jason Herzog, Terry Herzog, Derek Perrin, Jordan Olbrich, and Jonathan Pritchard.

A visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, September 11th at Providence Funeral Home

A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00am on Tuesday, September 12th at Providence Funeral Home

Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger directly following the service.

There will be a reception immediately following the burial at Knights of Columbus in Taylor from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
