Jerry Wayne Faltesek

Jerry Wayne Faltesek passed away peacefully at his home on November 10 ^th , 2017.  He was born on October 7 ^th , 1948 to Vince and Alice (Shiller) Faltesek in Rices Crossing, Texas.

On August 25 ^th , 1973 Jerry was united in marriage to Linda L. Fojtik at the Taylor Brethren Church.  He absolutely adored Linda and cherished their life together.  The highlight of Jerry’s life was his children, Lorrie and Brian.  He was an exceptional father and always gave his children love and support in every aspect of their lives.

Jerry was self-employed for most of his working years. He framed houses then began installing school laboratory furniture until his retirement in 2016.  He took his work very seriously and he was such the perfectionist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; father and mother; brothers, Tom and Vince; and two brothers-in-law’s.

Survivors include son, Brian; daughter, Lorrie Mathey and husband Shane; grandsons, Cole and Justin Mathey; brothers, Ben and wife Sue, Alvin and wife Sandy and sisters, Mary Kotrla and Alice Bracewell, sisters-in-law, Margie and Kathy Faltesek and numerous nieces and nephews.

His entire family was very near and dear to his heart.  Jerry’s main goal in life was to provide for his family and raise loving and caring children.  He was beyond successful.  Jerry was a man of great strength, wisdom and faith; the love and time he gave to all was amazing.  Jerry’s two grandsons were the light of his life and no words can explain what they meant to him.  He spent so much quality time with them in conversation telling stories and experiences in life.

Please join us in celebrating Jerry’s wonderful life.  Visitation will be at the Taylor Providence Funeral Home (807 Carlos G. Parker Blvd, Taylor, TX) on Thursday November 16 ^th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  Funeral services will be at the Taylor Brethren Church (710 Sloan St, Taylor, TX) on Friday November 17 ^th at 2:00pm with Reverend James Hejl officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Larry Kotrla, Eddie Kotrla, Randy Faltesek, Gary Faltesek, Mark Faltesek, Danny Faltesek, Jody Bracewell and Jeff Bracewell.  Honorary pall bearers are: Dwight Blahuta, Gary Eiben, Russell Faltesek, Marty Faltesek, Cole Mathey and Justin Mathey.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Taylor Brethren Church.  We’d like to send our thanks and love to all our family and friends for their constant support.  Your warm thoughts and prayers will continue to give us strength in the days ahead.
