Jean Evans Truitt, 90, left this world on Sunday, August 21, 2022, to her heavenly home.
Born on May 31, 1932, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Fred Evans and Tollie (Mulvihill) Evans. Jean moved around a lot, and eventually settled in Pasadena, TX before moving to Taylor, TX in 2015. She married the love of her life, Tony Truitt, on the 26 th of November in 1950.
She was a kind and compassionate woman who was the life of the party telling everyone family stories from long ago. From making squishy bacon to homemade biscuits, family was everything to her. Hostessing her husband’s colleagues and cooking meals for them was sometimes stressful, but she would not have it any other way. She was her children’s biggest cheerleader in sports, scholastics and life. And was greatly adored by all of her grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bubba and husband, Anthony Truitt Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Bucher and husband, Steve, of Sugarland and son, Anthony (Tony) Truitt Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Spicewood; grandchildren, Jackie Truitt of Kyle, Anthony Truitt III and wife, Caryn, of Dripping Springs, Matt Lozano and Katie Allison of Austin, KC Zens and wife, Nicole, of Surprise, AZ; great-grandchildren; Paxton Truitt of Dripping Springs and Dakota Zens of Surprise, AZ.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 17th at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. NW, in Taylor, Texas.
