Janet Preston

Janet Fay (Wright) Preston passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 at the age of 72.

Janet was born December 31, 1949, to Albert and Margie Wright in Oakland, California.  On March 1, 1980, she married the love of her life, Rodney Preston . After retiring from Advanced Micro Devices, they embarked on a lifetime of countless memories, enjoying travel and exploring the world.  Janet often spoke of the many different places and people she had encountered in her life; top of the list was relaxing on the beach with a drink.  One of her most favorite things to do, the thing she looked forward to most each year, was spending time and playing “scat” with family and friends at BamBam’s house during the holidays.  “Nana,” as she was known by her grandkids, loved holidays and shopping for her loved ones.

Janet is survived by her husband, Rodney Preston, her daughters, Nikki Barcuch (Joe), Stephanie Etter (Chris), grandsons, Cameron Barcuch and Conner Barcuch, granddaughter, Alicea Adams (Drew), two great-grandchildren, and cherished family member, CoCo, her dog and constant companion.

The family would like to extend an expression of gratitude and thanks to the staff of Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, for the kind and companionate care Janet received, and to our friends and family for all their loving support.

In keeping with Janet’s last request, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of her life on February 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Circleville Store.

In lieu of flowers, on behalf of Janet Preston, a donation to the American Cancer Society has been requested.
