Isidra Jimenez

Isidra Jimenez Lopez, 85, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Friday January 29, 2021.

Isidra was born on July 10, 1935 in Posas de Santa Ana Municipio de Guadalcazar, San Luis Potosi to Jose Isabel Jimenez and Abundia Lopez.

Isidra is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gabriela Jimenez Lopez and Francisco Jimenez, her grandsons Michael Joe Hugghins Jr. and Ricardo Sanchez Jr., her nephew Roberto Jimenez and her son in law Michael Hugghins.

She is survived by her sister Maria Macaria (Mario) Ortega, sister-in-law Juana Jimenez, children Alvaro Sr. (Josefina) Gonzalez, Jose Luis Jimenez, Maria Elena Hugghins and Patricia (Ricardo) Sanchez. Also, by her grandchildren, Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Alvaro Jr. (Fani) Gonzalez, Maria Cristina (Thomas) Weeks, Eric (Angel) Gonzalez, Juan Pablo Gonzalez (Veronica), Jose Juan (Cecily) Gonzalez, Diana (Jay) Lopez, Cristina (Colby) Jones, Jennifer Hugghins (Frankie), Joe (Ashley) Hugghins, Crystal (Will) Pachicano, Perla (Yonair) Guzman, Ruby Ann, Jade Elena Sanchez. Along with 37 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved as if they were her own.

Isidra loved cooking for everyone that would visit her and even when she was the one visiting. It did not matter if you told her you weren’t hungry; she would still make something as simple as migas for you. She loved watching her novellas, playing loteria, and going to her favorite “mall” la pulgita. She also would like to visit her favorite banker, Maritza Johnson, she swore she was “La mera mera.” She would talk about her findings from the pulgita and her family whom she was very proud of. Isidra enjoyed watching her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and they loved their wela. She had a BIG heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was one of a kind, a true angel and loved everyone unconditionally. Our ama, wela and friend will forever be missed.
