Horace Trava Twitty

Horace T. Twitty of Taylor was born on January 5, 1917 and passed away October 1, 2017 at SPJST Rest Home in Taylor.

Horace was born in Allsboro, Alabama.  He married Mildred V. Waddle on July 15, 1938.  Horace was a member and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Taylor.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Taylor City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 P.M., at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.

Horace and Billie Townsend were married on August 30, 1996.

He is survived by two sons, Donald Twitty and Terry Twitty and wife Genora Twitty, two stepsons, Mike Townsend and wife Laura and James Townsend and wife Karyl, sister, Mary Frances.  Also 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews.  Big Papa will be missed dearly by his great grandchild Reid Tyler Williams whom he loved dearly.

Proceeded in death by one daughter, his parents W.D. Twitty and Buelah Twitty, wife Mildred V. Twitty, wife Billie Twitty, sisters Alice, Vivian, and Lucille, brothers Ralph and Harlold.

Memorial may be given to the First Baptist Church Taylor, 701 Davis St. Taylor, TX 76574  Attn: Building Fund.
