Herminia Fuentes

Herminia Fuentes, 92, of Little River-Academy, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 3, 2022.

She was born January 21, 1930 to Matilde Flores and Sofia de León in Friendship, Tx.

During her early life she was a housekeeper, but her pride and joy was being a housewife. She spent her time raising her daughter and later taking care of her grandchildren. She loved to cook, you’d never have to worry about being hungry when grandma was around. Her favorite beverage was big red, you could never go wrong with a big red and a little debbie zebra cake. Herminia was a kind soul, some people would say she was a healer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Matilde Flores y Sofía de León; brothers, Felipe Flores and John Flores; and sister, Concha Garza.

Hermina is survived by her only daughter, Elida Ramirez and spouse, Carlos Ramirez, of Little-River Academy; grandchildren, Ernesto Perez and Family, Phillip Perez and Family, Janie Rocha and Family, Ismael Garcia Rocha and spouse, Yajaira Rocha, Jesse Perez, Carlos Ramirez, and Adam Ramirez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
