Harvey Jay Sladek

Harvey Jay Sladek, aged 86, of Thrall, left us on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, creating a void that his vibrant life had once filled. Born on June 19, 1937, in Thrall, Harvey was a cherished child of Albert and Sophie Sladek.

He embarked on his educational journey at Thrall High School, graduating in 1955 with a foundation of knowledge that would serve him well throughout life. On November 25, 1962, he joined his life with Carolyn Johnson in a union of love and companionship. Their journey together blessed them with three sons: Leslie Keith and Connie Sladek, Lynn David Sladek, and Leland Jay and Joan Sladek.

Harvey's legacy extended beyond his immediate family to encompass six Grandchildren and eleven Great-Grandchildren, a testament to the love and connections he fostered.

As he joins those who have gone before, Harvey is reunited with his parents, his sister Elaine Gaida, and his brother Eugene Sladek.

In honor of his memory, a Memorial Service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Providence Funeral Home, commencing at 10am. Should you wish to make a tribute, contributions can be directed to  Immanual Lutheran Church of Pflugerville or a charity that holds personal significance.
