Guadalupe “Lupe” Morales Torres, 74 of Taylor, passed away surrounded by her family on January 6, 2021.
Lupe was born in Taylor, Texas September 12, 1946 to Andres and Jovita Morales.
She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed being a mother and grandmother greatly. Cooking for her family was her favorite. Her house always smelled like fresh warm tortillas and coffee. Lupe was a devote Catholic, prayed her rosary every morning, and talked to God daily. When she was not having her conversations with God, she watched her novelas, Lifetime movies, Hallmark movies, visited with her neighbors, or sat around the table with her children, grandchildren, or sisters. She attended every event, holiday, and never forgot a single person’s birthday. Her big heart was always wanting to do everything for everyone no matter her situation. She has gone to join her loving husband of 43 years in Heaven.
Lupe is predeceased by her parents Andres and Jovita Morales, her husband George Torres, son Shannon Morales, sister Rosie Ortega, Nephews David Ortega, Darryl Owens, and Zachary Morales.
Lupe is survived by her daughter Stacy Washington and son Stephen Torres. Granddaughters Felicia Alderete, Farrah Alderete, Alyssa Morales, Adriana Morales, Alessandra Morales, Dyanna Torres, and Grandson Mitchell Washington. Great grandchildren A’mari Jackson and Ariella Morales. Brothers and sisters Mike Morales, Margaret Morales, Janie Morales, Mary Hinistroza, Helen “Bobbie” Zapata, and Annie Dominguez
