Gordon Dale Taylor, beloved husband of Pam Taylor and loving dad to Ben and Michelle, walked into Heaven early Thursday morning, October 17, 2024. His family rejoiced around him as he met Jesus, face to face.
Gordon was born on March 19, 1950 in Elgin, Texas to Harry and Lenora Taylor (deceased). He was one of 8 siblings.
He graduated from Manor High School in 1968. He received his degree in Agriculture from Tarleton State University in 1972. He married the love of his life, Pam, on November 17, 1984 in Pflugerville, Texas and raised two children.
After many years of farming and working with the family grain elevators, he became a Probation Officer with the Bastrop County Restitution Center. After retirement, he pursued his love of farming but on a smaller scale. Gordon maintained a large vegetable garden at home and was a member of Manor Farmer’s Market for years providing wonderful vegetables for sale weekly. Another love of Gordon’s was his adorable cat, Brindle, who stayed by his side.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Pam, and has left a legacy of love and laughter to his children, Benjamin Taylor (Staci) of Ohio and Michelle Back (Casce) of Cameron, Texas. Grandchildren Ashley Campos Engledow (Corey), Lilliana Back,Cason Back, Mason Herbrich and Payton Herbrich. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Carolyn Thurman (Gerald), David Taylor (Mary), Sharon Taylor Weaver, Kenneth Taylor (Jackie), Charles Taylor (deceased), Rhonda Hahn (Brian), Cynthia Crim (Ronny). Nieces and nephews, Glen Thurman, Shawn Thurman (Kathryn), Matthew Taylor (deceased), Julie Shuford (Robert), Heath Dillard (Kristen), Heather Dillard, Harry Taylor, Trevor Taylor (Ashley), Clay Taylor (Michelle), Daniel Taylor (Michelle), Celeste Nguyen (Jimmy), Tracey Strouth (Jacob), Reggie Crim (Brittany), Tara Aldridge (Bryan). And 15 great nieces and nephews.
