Glen Whatley

Glen W. Whatley, Jr. (66) of Taylor, TX went to be with his heavenly father June 22, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. He passed at home surrounded by his wife Judy, all three daughters, and fur baby Della.

Glen was born January 17, 1955, to Glen W. Whatley, Sr. and Patsy M. (Onstott) Whatley of Taylor, TX. Glen married the love of his life, Judy (Grieger) on June 23rd, 1973. He was a graduate of Taylor High, Class of ’73. Glen retired in 2008 after 36 years of employment.

He was an avid hunter and loved all things outdoors. Glen enjoyed family beach trips to Port Aransas and RV trips to Colorado with his wife and grandkids. But his true happy place was his family farm in San Gabriel, TX.

Glen served as President of the Lion’s Club and both he and Judy enjoyed volunteering at the Texas Lions Camp. He was very active in his home church, Highway 95 Church of Christ in which he loved his church family.

Glen was preceded in death by both parents, bothers Robert & Thomas Whatley, and his only son Keith Thomas Whatley.

Survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy. 3 daughters Julie Patrick & Kelly of Elgin. Jennifer Prinz & Scott of Taylor. Laura Whatley of Austin. Brother Larry Whatley & Celesta of Houston. Sister Kellie Fenter & Mark of Horseshoe Bay. Sister & Brother-in-law Marie & Ken Richter of Taylor. Brother & Sister-in-law John & Elise Grieger of Cedar Park.

Grandchildren Tyler Prinz, Gage Prinz, Taylor Prinz, and Blake Patrick will deeply miss spending time with their #1 Grandpa.

Numerous nieces & nephews will miss their uncle “Big G”.
