Georgia Lee Thompson went to be with the Lord, August 29,2021.
Beside the Lord stood her husband and grandson who all met with wide open arms.
She is preceded in death by her husband Waylon Thompson, her brothers Walter Raby, Thomas Raby and her sister Barbara “Bunny” Raby, and her grandson Rocky Bell.
She leaves behind her siblings Ethel Flannery, Dolfaliene Grant, and Gerlden Darnell, daughters Melinda Wunesche, Lois Bell, and Joy Lynn Williams, her sons Billy Williams and Ray Williams, her grandchildren Tanni Tucker, Waylon Rawson, Nathan Beasley, Reanell Bell, Shane Williams, Anthony Freitag, John Cheesebrew, Andrew Martin, Lloyd Harley Martin, Kimistry Martin, Catrina Beasley, Jennifer Beasley, and Cody Culhane and her great grandchildren Dylan Rawson, Lanie Tucker, Ethan Tucker, Clason Sheppard-Beasley, Jayden Gonzales, Raimee Doiron, Charlie Doiron, Marlee Martin, Harlee Shaw, Preslee Martin, Bryleigh Shaw and Kamryn Huffman and two more on the way.
Georgia was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and was the matriarch of this family. She was our wisdom, our friend, and our Maw Maw. Georgia and Waylon were married for 54 years and had many fun adventures together such as fishing, hunting, camping, RVing across the country, and spending time with the ones they loved. They also very much enjoyed a casino trip now and then. Georgia was very accomplished in her career, was one of the first in the space soldering program for NASA and worked for Baker Hughes and MD Totco. She traveled out of the country for work on several occasions with many fun stories to tell and retired from MD Totco. Georgia loved her family and friends, was the maker of all desserts at holidays (the one’s we might be excited for anyways), while also enjoying time with her family and her grandchildren. Her great grandchildren brought her exceptional joy. Georgia enjoyed Bingo, watching game shows on TV, and reading her Bible as she made sure that God was a part of all family events spoking of him to everyone in the family. Georgia wanted for her family to be close to God and closer to each other always.
She was an inspiration to all of us and while we will miss her on earth, we all know heaven got one of the best angels.
