Freddie L. Anderson

Freddie L. Anderson (aka Jones) was born in Taylor TX, June 3rd, 1941. Freddie attended O.L.Price High School, graduating in 1960. He enlisted in the Airforce in July 1960. After completing basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio TX he was sent to Barksdale AFB in Shreveport LA. Freddie was sent to Torreon AFB in Madrid, Spain a year later. Freddie returned to Kelly AFB medical facility and later discharged in July 1964. Freddie enrolled in St. Phillips College, graduated in 1974. Then he earned his BA in political science from Incarnate World University in 1976. Freddie earned his MA from Webster University in 1978. After receiving his master's degree, he recruited for the USPS Management Associate Program. Freddie worked in management positions in Washington DC, New York and Chicago. Freddie's last management position was California where he was a Station Manager, Postmaster, Area Manager and Manager General Mail Processing Operations when he retired. Freddie retired November 1992 after 27 years of service. Freddie coached football at St. Elizabeth High School, was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, football was his favorite. He loved to read, play dominos and cards. Freddie was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Gamma Lambda Chapter.

Freddie is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Davis (3 brothers) Alvin Epperson Jr, Elvin Epperson and Tommy Ray Williams Sr.

Freddie is survived by his wife Carolyn, sons; Walme and Keith, sister Mattie Epperson, brothers; Johnny Epperson (Donna) and Robert Ray McBride (Helen). Cherished friends; Juan Camarillo, Frederico (Rick) Porter-Butterfield (Pam), John Brown, Bob Carlson (Sue), May Davidson (US), and a host of family and friends.
