On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, Frank Perez Alvarado was called home at the age of 67. The world lost a great son, brother, cousin, husband, father and grandfather.
Frank was born September 22, 1953 in Taylor, Texas to Magdalena and Arturo Alvarado.
If you asked Frank, his greatest accomplishment wasn’t his career. It was being a father and a grandfather.
He spent his life working for the power company, starting as a linemen for Texas Power and light and he continued with the company as it became TU Electric and then Oncor. He also worked as an EMT and as a police officer for several departments including Rock Rock, Hutto, Taylor and Granger to name a few.
He enjoyed throwing elaborate Halloween parties and passed that passion on to his daughter, Corrie.
He was also a frequent user of very specific, yet meaningless threats such as, “you scratch that table, I’ll scratch your head.”
Frank and his wife Sitty Spence met through a mutual friend. It was love at first sight. That love grew to include Sitty’s young daughters, Kara and Kaitlin. Kaitlin called Frank her bonus Dad instead of her step-father. She prayed for a Dad and a dog. She got a Dad, a big brother and two dogs, Rocky and Pearl.
He is survived by his eldest son Frankie, daughter and son-in-law, Corrie and Clint Thompson of Georgetown; son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Kassie Alvarado of Round Rock, former spouse Linda Mathews of Round Rock and Rita Moreno Waldon of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Rufus Ortiz and Hector Alvarado; four grandchildren, Xander, Bryson and Ryleigh Alvarado of Round Rock and Merritt Thompson of Georgetown.
He is preceded in the death by his parents, Arturo and Magdalena Alvarado and his sisters Joann and Maddy.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Frank's memory at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the Hutto Bible Church in Hutto, Texas.
