Francisco Rodriguez

Francisco (Frank) Rodriguez, age 97, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at Will-O-Bell Nursing Home surrounded by his family.  Francisco was born in Bartlett, Texas on April 2, 1922 to Concepcion and Juanita (DeLaRosa) Rodriguez.

Francisco served in the Army during WWII from 1942 to 1943.  During his enlistment in the Army, he received the Victory and the Marksman M1 Rifle medals.

Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, sister Maria Rodriguez Zavala, brother Cirilo Rodriguez, grandson Cecil Rodriguez Jr., great-grandchildren Brock Ramirez and Jordan Nira, and great-great grandchild Christian Mosee.

Francisco is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Rosa Lopez Rodriguez, along with his 6 children, Frank Jr. and Connie Rodriguez of Seguin, Cecil Sr. and Ramona Rodriguez of Schwertner,, Joe and Julia (Rodriguez Campos, Cirilo (Chico) and Maggie Rodriguez, David and Alice (Rodriguez) Nira of Bartlett,  Richard and Yolanda Rodriguez of Salado, sister Janie Rodriguez Luna of Granger, and brother Marcus Rodriguez of Bartlett.  Francisco has 24 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 44 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation for Francisco will be held at Providence Funeral Home on Friday, December 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Abel Rodriguez, Gilbert Rodriguez, Joe Campos Jr., Andrew Nira, Adrian Nira, and Michael Rodriguez.
