Frances Louise Stiba

We are saddened to announce the passing of Frances Louise Stiba, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She died peacefully at the age of 93 on October 30, 2023.

Frances Stiba was born on April 12, 1930 to Lloyd and Pauline Sibert in Austin, Texas.  Frances is survived by her daughters, Janis Alexander Jansky & husband Johnnie; Patty Alexander Heiman & husband Gene; and her sons, Douglas Alexander and Thomas Stiba III; as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Pauline Sibert; and her husband of 59 years, Thomas Stiba, Jr.  She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held November 7, 2023, at Providence Funeral Home, with a visitation starting at 4:00 pm and the service beginning at 5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the St. Mary’s library (go on website stmarystaylor.org/online-giving).  There is a “details comment” section in which the giver can simply note that it will be in memory of Frances Stiba, for the use in the St. Mary’s Library.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at both of the SPJST facilities for their loving and compassionate care of Frances.
