Eugene Alston Thoms

With pained sadness we announce that Eugene Alston Thoms died on November 8, 2024.

Eugene was born on December 25, 1979, to Linda Lewis and Alston Thoms in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He grew up in Pullman, Washington and moved to College Station, Texas mid-way through high school. After graduating high school in 1998, he moved to Olympia, Washington to study at Evergreen College. Eugene returned to Texas and made his living as a technician and was a master in his field of espresso machines and brewing equipment. He was a pillar of the Austin coffee community and helped many business owners turn their dreams into reality.  He fathered two children, John Thoms and Dylan Thoms. Eugene was fond of the outdoors, lived on the family ranch and spent many days hunting deer and hogs. He loved his animals, cats, dogs and cattle.

Eugene has left family and loved ones behind; his mother, Linda; stepmother, Pat; brother, John; children, John and Dylan; girlfriend and her daughter, Melanie and Zella; niece, Zora; nephew, Sasha; along with many others.

All are invited to his memorial at Lawrence Chapel, 2800 Co Rd 473, Thrall, TX 76578 on December 7, 2024, at noon and then gather across the road at our ranch, the Cow Camp.
