Estella Mae Parson, 78, passed away at home in Taylor, Texas surrounded with family on Friday, September 27, 2019.
Estella was born in Clovis, New Mexico on February 24, 1941 to Charles Clayton Scales and Lenna Mae Scales. She married the love of her life, Allen Brents Parson, on August 23, 1959. You could often find her working alongside her husband. Estella was known for her smile, kind spirit, and generosity - touching many lives and spreading love and joy to all in her path. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and Nana, demonstrating love to all family. Estella was the core of the extended family, hosting many family gatherings and staying connected with all family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing new adventures. She loved reading and scrapbooking. Estella was a member of the Hereford Study Club and the Red Hat Society. She volunteered and gave her time and love to many.
Estella is survived by husband, Allen; son, Dwayne (Sharon) Parson of Hereford; daughters, Brenda (Jeff) Milam of Round Rock and Kimberley (Vance) Stephens of Georgetown; grandchildren, Ashley Parson, Hayden Parson, Wayne (Amanda) Milam, Aaron Milam (Ashley Naputi), and Patrick Stephens; great grandchildren, Kole Milam and Gabe Milam; and siblings, Faye Gibson, TC Scales, Russell Scales, Mary Gardner, and Nancy Farmer.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
