Ernesto Perez, 81, of Little River-Academy, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2022.
He was born May 18, 1941 to Antonio Perez and Guadalupe Rosales in Holland, Texas.
During his life he worked in farming and construction, he was also part of building the Granger dam. He also worked with his cousin at Family Perez BBQ.
Ernesto loved the Lord and his family. He also loved attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s football games. He was a true family man. He took joy in helping others no matter what he himself was going through. He was a people person, everyone enjoyed his company. He loved playing his accordion, and he always had a love for cattle. He was a hard-working man. Ernesto loved to travel, and especially loved watching his Dallas Cowboys play.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Antonio Perez & Guadalupe Rosales; brother, Joe Perez; and sister, Adelina Reyes.
Ernesto is survived by his only daughter, Elida Ramirez and her spouse, Carlos Ramirez, of Little-River Academy; grandchildren, Ernesto Perez and Family, Phillip Perez and Family, Janie Rocha and Family, Ismael Garcia Rocha and spouse, Yajaira Rocha, Jesse Perez, Carlos Ramirez, and Adam Ramirez; sister, Candelaria Perez Delgado of Georgetown; brother, Leo Perez of Bartlett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
