Eric Lee Strmiska

Eric Lee Strmiska, age 45, of Granger TX, went into the loving arms of the Lord on October 4 th , 2021.

Eric was born on January 28 th 1976 to Bobby Strmiska and Margaret Beyer Strmiska. He was raised in Granger Texas where he attended SSCM Catholic School and graduated from Granger High School in 1994. Eric was employed with Christianson Plumbing since 1999 as a Helper and Journeyman. He was one of the first people to become a licensed Tradesman in the state of Texas.  Eric was most recently promoted to Pre Slab Coordinator and was dedicated to his work at Christianson Plumbing for 22 years.

Eric married the love of his life, Rachael Ann Kerlin on April 14 th 2012. Together they built a beautiful family and made lasting memories. Eric was a devoted husband and the best Dad. He cherished his family and his land, where you could often find him fishing with his boys from the dock or cooking up a good meal. Eric’s favorite place to be was right at home.

From an early age Eric had an adventurous spirit.  He loved to be outside building things, riding bikes, and getting into trouble with friends.  Most of those friendships would last a lifetime.  His love for the outdoors continued into adulthood as his greatest joy was fishing and barbecuing for friends and family --- Best damn ribs ever!

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Fred Strmiska, Waldemar and Albina Beyer, and nephew Cody Strmiska.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Rachael; sons Ethan James, 5 and Ty Hudson, 3; parents Margaret Strmiska(Steve), Bobby and Susan Strmiska, and David and Diana Kerlin; sisters Kimberly Hauger (Tony), Kelly Hamons (Trey), and Tiffany Michalik (Dan); brother in laws David Kerlin and Christian Kerlin (Devon); grandmothers Josephine Strmiska and Bernice Jezisek; nieces Ciera, Karsyn, Kyndal, Aspyn, and Gracelyn; Nephews Kyle, Brody, Jay, Max and Easton; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful prayers and thoughts provided to Eric over the last month.
