Emilie Vrana

Emilie Vrana, 93, of Taylor passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 9, 2020.

Emilie was born on May 30, 1926 to Joseph and Philomena (Krejci) Steffek. She married Frank Vrana on July 13, 1948 and they were blessed with six children. In her early years, Emilie worked at Taylor Bedding as a seamstress. Her hobbies included sewing quilts, gardening, and baking kolaches. Emilie was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Emilie is preceded in death by her husband Frank; son Frankie Vrana; infant son Michael Vrana; grandson Brent Svehlak; son-in-law Hubbard Faulkner, Jr.; grandson-in-law Ricky Bradshaw; five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children Geraldine Faulkner of Temple, Marie (Larry) Svehlak, Kathy (David) Welch, and Kenneth Vrana, all of Taylor; daughter-in-law Charlotte Vrana of Taylor; sister Edith Werchan of Austin; grandchildren Michelle (Ronnie) Saverse, Darrell (Mary) Faulkner, Allison Bradshaw, Jason (Amber) Vrana, Tara (Travis) Huber, Amanda (Trenten) Talley, Amber (Clayton) Ging, Bryan Vrana, and Brandon Vrana; great grandchildren Sierra Hammack, Sydney Saverse, Karson Bradshaw, Brynley Huber, Parker Huber, Tayden Talley, Rylen Talley, Charley Ging, Trinity Ging, Cheyenne Ging, Jaylyn Vrana, and Hudson Vrana; step grandchildren Clint and Brandon Gordon; step great grandchildren Kolby and Kassidy Bradshaw and Presley and Preston Gordon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Providence Funeral Home, with rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Ronnie Saverse, Darrell Faulkner, Jason Vrana, Travis Huber, Trenten Talley, Clayton Ging, Bryan Vrana, and Jaylyn Vrana.
