Emelia Larson Johnson of Hutto most recently a resident of the Taylor SPJST Nursing Home Facility went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 2, 2021. Emelia and twin sister were born November 6, 1926 to Martin and Emma Johnson. Shortly after birth the twins' mother passed away and they were adopted by Anna and Will Larson. Emelia was a 1944 graduate of Hutto High School. On December 22, 1945 she married Kermit A. Johnson. To this union three sons were born Allan, Tommy and Kevin. Emelia was a homemaker until 1968 when she held the title of secretary to the superintendent of Hutto I.S.D. Emelia rarely missed any sporting events involving her sons. Emelia was very proud of her Swedish ancestry. She was a life long member of Hutto Lutheran Church where she participated in many different capacities. She was a very talented pianist and vocalist performing at many worship services, weddings, funerals and Hutto High School graduation ceremonies. Emelia was a wonderful cook who was old school and cooked everything from scratch. Her Swedish meatballs and pecan pies were especially enjoyed at many festive occasions by family. Emelia was truly the matriarch and foundation of our family and loved her family unconditionally. She was loved by all and will be missed by all. May she rest in peace.
Emelia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years Kermit and her youngest son Kevin. Survivors include sons Allan and wife Nancy, Tommy and fiancé Georgette, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, twin sister Emma Larson Lawhon, and sister in law Dorothy Johnson. Also many nieces and nephews, dear friends and Hutto Lutheran congregants.
The family would especially like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at the SPJST Nursing Facility and Resolutions Hospice for their compassionate and loving care for our mother.
