Elroy Thomas Sr.

On November 22, 1948, Elroy Thomas, Sr. was born to his parents, Chestina "Martin" Thomas and Jim Thomas, Jr. in Taylor, Texas. He married Dianne Gage in 1971.

Elroy had a passion for the sport of boxing and at an early age participated in the Golden Glove Amateur Boxing tournament. He also worked and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.

On the evening of July 30th, 2023, Elroy was called home to be with the Lord. Elroy was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Jessie and Grace Martin.

Elroy leaves behind a brother, Leroy Smith, Sr. of Midland Texas; two daughters, Tanya Thomas and Kimberly Thomas, both of Round Rock, Texas; and one son, Elroy Thomas, Jr. of Taylor Texas; two grandchildren, Chasity Douglas and Devin Taylor, Sr.; two great-grandchildren, Zef Taylor and Devin Taylor, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
