Elias Alderete

February 1, 1950 — April 27, 2018

Elias Alderete passed away unexpectedly April 27, 2018 at Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock, Tx .

He was born February 1, 1950 in Taylor, Tx to Antonio and Carlota Alderete.

On November 4, 1967 he married Amelia Elizondo and to that union they were blessed with 5 children.

He was the pastor at Christo de Galilea in Holland. He retired in 2008  from Alcoa after 37 years of service and worked for Taylor ISD at the time of his death.
In 1996 he gave his life to  Christ and everyday since he was a Man of God. He loved his church and made sure the church was in always immaculate condition along with the church grounds.

Family was very important to him and he would do anything for his family.  He was known as "Tio Lee" and "Uncle Eli". He had the biggest heart, never met a stranger and was quick to help anyone in need.  He had a great sense of humor and loved being a jokester. He was quick at finding nicknames for family members. He loved watching his children and grandchildren at their sporting events or any other performances they had.  You could always see him there in the stands or in the audience. He loved his job at the school as a bus monitor and the relationships he had with the children. He was greatly loved and still is and will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in by death by his parents Antonio and Carlota Alderete, Brother Cristin Alderete, Father-in-law Frank Elizondo and grandson Xavien Murray.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Amelia Alderete. Daughters Charlotte Yanez, Clarissa Gabriel and Son-in-law Kevin, Rebecca Tanksley and Son-in-law Jamey all of Taylor, Monica Segura and Son-in-law Tony Jr. of Hutto and son Elias Jonathan Alderete of Taylor. 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He also leaves behind sisters Feliz Martinez and Brother-in-law Pete and  Stella Lopez. Brothers Isaias Alderete and Sister-in-law Celia, Eloy Alderete and Sister-in-law Marie and Santos Alderete all of Taylor and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation  will be on Wednesday, May 2. 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
