Edward Raymond Dubec, 72, of Pflugerville, TX passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
He was born in Sparks, TX to parents Joe & Philomena Dubec on November 30, 1946. Eddie Ray retired from the Taylor Police Department after twenty-nine years of service. He was known for his love of music and entertained crowds for three decades. He played with numerous bands, including his brother’s band, Jodie Jay & the Silvertones, and his own band, Eddie Ray & the Polka Dots.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jodie Dubec, Hubert Dubec & Albin Dubec.
Eddie Ray is survived by his son Quintin & wife Gretchen Dubec; son Justin & wife Charlotte Dubec; grandsons Alex & wife Courtney Glenn, Jacob Glenn and granddaughter Michaela Dubec; sisters Mina Stuchly and Alice Klepac; two great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2019 beginning at 6:00pm, with a rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
