Dylan Roy Filla

Dylan Roy Filla, 29, of Georgetown, formerly of Granger went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 2, 2022

Dylan was born July 26, 1993, in Temple Tx to Tommy and Dawn (Whiteley) Filla. He was a loving older brother to Caleb Filla and Payton Filla. He was a 2011 graduate of Granger High School. On April 13, 2018, Dylans greatest blessing, Bowen Roy Filla was born. There was nothing Dylan enjoyed more than being a Daddy and best friend to his son.

From an early age it was evident that Dylan loved being outdoors. His greatest enjoyment was helping his Popo Filla on the farm or helping elderly folks with their yard work. He was always ready to help. After high school he volunteered his extra time to Granger Youth Athletic Association coaching his sisters’ teams in softball and basketball. He was also a volunteer in the Granger Fire Dept. He had a passion for anything with wheels and a motor. He loved spending time at his dad’s shop, Precision Ag Repair, helping him and his Uncle Pickle.

Dylan was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Lovina and JW Whiteley Jr. Dylan is survived by his son, Bowen Roy Filla, girlfriend Kristina Neitsch, parents Tommy and Dawn Filla, brother Caleb Filla, sister Payton Filla, grandparents Leroy Filla and Janice Leslie, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Juergens, Robbie Filla, Matt Bohac, Steven Vrabel, Emory Sutton, and Clayton Moore.

Visitation is to be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. N.W., Taylor.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2022, immediately following the visitation, at Providence Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bowen Filla Benefit Trust Account at Granger National Bank.
