Duane Allen Vizena

Duane Allen Vizena, 49, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.  He was born September 2, 1968 in San Antonio to Archie and Nell Vizena.  He is a 1986 graduate of Thorndale High School.  Duane married Selynda Sherman Vizena on June 8, 1996 in Taylor.  Duane was a husband and father that loved with his whole heart.  He was a fiercely loyal friend that could always be counted on.  His humor and quick wit drew many to him.  He was never far from one of his kids sport activities (or the concession stand cooking burgers).  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Selynda Vizena; a daughter, Jordyn Vizena; a son, Jake Vizena; his mom, Nell Vizena; brother, Jerry Vizena; and sister, Amy Wenzel with her husband Chad Wenzel and sons Tucker Wenzel and Gage Wenzel.  He is preceded in death by his dad, Archie Vizena and his grandparents.  Family, friends, and others whose lives Duane touched are invited to Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd, Taylor, TX for visitation on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm and funeral services on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm.    In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project ( https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org )
