Dorothy Sylvia Palla

Dorothy Machacek Williams Palla, 85, of Granger, went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, November 28, 2021.

A visitation is to be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, December 2, 2021, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker NW, Taylor, TX.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 3, 2021, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 100 N Brazos St, Granger, TX with burial to follow at Granger City Cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Granger, TX on December 31, 1935, to Frank & Mary Nemec Machacek. She graduated from Granger in 1954. She married Jimmy Dale Williams on Jan 14, 1956, and had 4 children. Jimmy and Dorothy were married for 44 years until Jimmy’s passing.

Dorothy married Arthur Dan Palla November 24, 2002. They enjoyed 17 years together in Granger.

Dorothy was preceded in death by Jimmy Williams and Arthur Palla. She was also preceded in death by grandson, Eric Carpenter; brothers, Frank Machacek, Bill Machacek; sisters, Gertrude Gilchrist, Edith Davidson, and Georgie Davis.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Soudelier and husband, Earl; sisters in law, Mary Lee Machacek and Bernice Machacek; her children, Pam Williams of Taylor, David Williams and wife, Susan, of Academy, Laurie Cervenka and husband, James, of Granger, Tricia Schneider and husband, Kenny, of Taylor; grandchildren, Kirsten Carpenter, Kyle Carpenter, Jeffrey Williams, Jason Williams, Jamie Huf, Kayla McGinley, Brooke Clanton, Britney Chapman and Braegan Schneider, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 stepchildren; Cindy Alcock and Marvin, Debbie Dalke and David, Tim Palla and Carmen, Byron Palla and Lori and their families.

Pall bearers will be Mike Machacek, Roger Machacek, Matt Clanton, Chad Chapman, James Huf, and Ryan McGinley.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church of Granger.
