Dorotel Olguin Salazar

February 6, 1951 — July 2, 2020

Dorotel Olguin Salazar also known as, Don Teo, friend, husband, dad, brother, grandpa, great grandpa, and overall darn good time, passed away July 2, 2020 due to lung cancer.

He battled cancer for six years and up to the very end, despite his condition, he never once let that stop him from drinking a cold beer, smoking a cigarette, and giving people a good laugh. He was a well experienced, and professional truck driver. During his career he was given the handle “half pint” which was well known across Texas among his peers and coworkers. Dorotel took pride in driving semi’s, and touring the road was his passion. He always knew, where all the good spots, to stop to eat were and knew his highways better than any map. Living on the road was where he was at peace, listening to oldies but goodies with the windows down, and just enjoying life. No matter how far he would travel he always came back to his loved ones. He always made sure his family had a roof over there head, and food on the table. During his down time, he loved to party, whether it was playing pool, going to a barbeque, or simply to play bingo. He was a funny jokester; he would forget many things but not his endless amount of jokes. He was always guaranteed to get just about anyone smiling, laughing, or just amazed by his tricks. He was the life of the party and will be truly missed.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, TX. We would like to thank everyone for your condolences and your continued support.
