Donald "Don" Wayne Wolbrueck, age 70, of Taylor, Texas, passed away on Wednesday April 10,2019, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock, TX.
He was born on October 17,1948, to Edward H. Sr and Martha (Krueger) Wolbrueck, and grew up with 2 brothers and 1 sister, on the family farm outside of Taylor, Texas. He was the last graduate of St. Mary's High School, and then he attended Southwest Texas University with a B.S. degree in Agriculture. He married the love of his life Cherri (Touchet) Wolbrueck on May 25,1968 and raised 2 sons and 1 daughter in Taylor. Don opened and ran a bookstore/antique store in Taylor for more than 30 years, which brought him joy every day. Don was always service to others instead of himself, and always paid it forward. Don always enjoyed meeting new people and after only 5 minutes of talking with him you had a new friend. Don's favorite hobbies were collecting tins, salt and pepper shakers, old clocks, but his absolute favorite thing to do was to go junkin and find new items to sell down at the store.
Don is survived by his wife Cherri (Touchet) Wolbrueck, 2 sons Dwayne Wolbrueck and Steven Wolbrueck, 1 daughter Beth Pulkrabek and husband James Pulkrabek, all of Taylor. He has 1 older brother John Wolbrueck of Taylor. He has 5 grandchildren: Edward Wolbrueck, Jasmine Wolbrueck, Ashley Pulkrabek, Andrew Pulkrabek and Mary Harper. 2 great grandchildren, Iyanna and 1 on the way. He has 17 nieces and nephews. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Edward H Sr. and Martha M. Wolbrueck, brother Edward Wolbrueck, Jr. and sister Jeanette Baran all of Taylor.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses and staff at Baylor Scott & White Hospital of Round Rock, Texas for giving Don such excellent care during his stay.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with family visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday April 22,2019, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Private Graveside services will follow on April 23,2019 with family at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu flowers the family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association in his name.
