Deborah Kay “Perrin” Marx was called to her heavenly home Sunday November 20 th 2022.
She was born September 6 th 1952 in San Antonio Texas to Joseph Perrin and Mildred “English” Perrin.
In 1985 she married her loving husband, Clifford Dudley Marx. The couple shared 35 blessed years together.
She retired from State Farm Insurance and helped her husband run the family owned and operated Promise Land Learning Center, a Christian daycare in Hutto.
Debbie faithfully served alongside her husband Pastor Dudley Marx at their beloved Memorial Baptist Church in Taylor Texas for 28 years. The pair happily gave so much of their lives to service. They were a great team when it came to their service in God’s family.
Debbie’s love for her family was unconditional. Dudley and Debbie loved taking their children, and later in life their grandchildren, on many summer vacations creating so many wonderful memories.
Debbie kept busy in her many creative endeavors, including crafting, quilting, sewing costumes for church events, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and even “costumes” for their horses to wear in horse shows. She wrote plays and scripts for their church Christmas pageants which she and Dudley both greatly enjoyed. She even made decorations for the cubicles in her unit for each Holiday. Musically she has taken numerous secular tunes and rewritten the lyrics into wonderful christian tunes, which Dudley proudly had her record some while on one of their vacations.
Debbie’s favorite time of the year was Christmas. The Marx house was always decorated with wonderful Christmas cheer, magnificent indoor and outdoor lights and at least two Christmas trees. The whole family was always curious to find out what game or event Debbie had planned for Christmas each year. For these and many other reasons, Debbie is already missed.
Debbie is survived by her children, Bobby Wayne and wife Mary Jones, Joseph Lee Jones, stepson David and wife Susan Marx, step daughter Christie and husband Eric Tracey; ten grandchildren, Bobby Lee, Rebecca and Logan Jones: Hope, Faith and Grace Tracey; Emily, Charlie, Adelyn and Lyla Marx; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Preuss (Clifford), Eileen Melton, Ethel Melton, Elma Adams(David), Wanda Merz (Paul) and brother Keith Perrin (Carolyn).
