David Wayne Gay, husband, father, brother, uncle, and mentor, 64 0f Taylor Texas passed away on January 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Doris Maxine Terry Gay Whatley Jordan Bird and Glen Gay. He is survived by his wife Kim Gay of 35 years, daughter Halley and husband Marcus Foulds of Georgetown, and son Dawson Gay and wife Maggie also of Georgetown. David was born August 14, 1956 in Houston Texas to Glen and Maxine Gay.  He attended high school in Pearland and Lexington where he graduated in 1974.  After high school he attended TSTI in Waco where he received his certificate in HVAC.  He married Kimberly Robb August 3, 1985.  Of this marriage came two children, Halley and Dawson.

David worked for Texas Instrument, AMD, AIM and Cypress Semiconductor. He then attended The Police Academy where he was later employed by Williamson County Sheriff Department.  David had many hobbies. He enjoyed anything to do with music.  Playing the ukulele and harmonica were a couple of his favorites.  When he wasn’t pickin’ and grinnin’ you could find him telling jokes and making people laugh.  He was also known as the snake man of Taylor.  Anyone with a snake problem, David was who they called.  He was a member of Taylor Jaycees and a member of The Heart of Texas Snake Handler’s. David would put on quite a show every year at the Taylor Jaycees Rattlesnake Round Up and other shows around Texas.  David was also quite the artist, and a very talented one at that.  Many people will be permanently marked with his awesome tattoo work forever.  He was an avid amateur astrology enthusiast and could tell you anything about the solar system.  His favorite hobby of all was being a grandfather.  He loved his 4 grandchildren with all his heart!

David touched and inspired anyone who crossed his path. The impact he made on people’s lives is simply amazing. The World lost a legend and Heaven gained and Angel. He is now dancing in the sky with his Mom and Dad.
