Darlene Ann Pyle

January 31, 1951 — June 9, 2022

Darlene Ann (Zycha) Pyle, a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022. Darlene was beautiful inside and out, sharing God’s love and kindness to the world. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and dogs, Cooper and Max.

She was born January 31, 1951, in Taylor, TX to Joe and Mildred (Zezulka) Zycha. She graduated from Taylor High School in 1971. She married in 1972 and lived her whole life in Taylor, Texas with her husband John Pyle. Darlene was the light of every party, gathering, and workplace. She worked for Sweet Briar Rest Home and helped her husband run his business. She later brought her specialty in care and crafts to St. Paul’s Daycare for 10+ years. All her family and friends saw and shared her love for cooking and giving. She always had a fun joke, great recipe, or one of her famous goodie bags to share.

Darlene is survived by her husband, John Pyle, Jr.; son, John Pyle (wife Angie); sister, Irene Bucanek; and son-in-law, David Hargrove. Like a second mother to the Bucanek family, she will be missed by the families of Debbie Kubiak, Cheryl Perez, Sidney Bucanek, and Charles Bucanek.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Christie Pyle; parents, Joe and Mildred Zycha and siblings James Zycha, Leo Zycha, and Lillian Crisp. Her extended family and friends that have gone before her, including Charlie Bucanek, David Kubiak, David Eschberger, and Benny Zezulka, are waiting to celebrate her beauty and joy in Heaven.
