Daniel Frank Haag, 89, died Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the SPJST Retirement Home in Taylor, Texas.
Daniel was born on May 5, 1931 in Taylor, Texas to Emil and Cornelia Haag, Dan grew up with his three siblings in Thrall. Dan married Nora Mae Lehman in 1950, and they had two sons, Scott and Darrell, who were the light of Dan’s life. Dan worked for Bell Telephone Company for 34 years in Taylor, Texas where he lived his whole life.
In his retirement, Dan enjoyed morning coffee with friends, and you could always find him down at “The Lounge” around 4:30 in the afternoon, socializing with good friends and playing straight dominoes.
Dan enjoyed hunting with his son Darrel, nephew Dobie, and friends. He enjoyed a Friday night hamburger from the SPJST, where the ladies would line up for a dance with Dan.
He is preceded in death by his sons, sister Pearline Stolte, and brother, Marvin Haag and survived by grandsons Lance Haag and wife Angie, Justin Haag and wife Sharon, Brad Haag, and brother James and wife Lois, and three great grandchildren, Bailey, Javier, and Diego.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family members and friends.
