Daniel Salazar

Daniel Salazar Sr.  74 of Taylor, TX died Saturday April 13, 2019 peacefully at his home.

Daniel was born October 24, 1944 in Taylor, TX to Eulogio and Petra Salazar. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond Salazar and sister Rosie Chavana.

Daniel served in the U. S. Army for a term and returned to Taylor to marry the love of his life Maria Camacho in 1972. He worked for Texas Instruments for 27 years when he retired in 2006.  Daniel loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren whom he would love spending time with, he was always joking around with them, and always spoiling them.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Maria Salazar.  His children Patricia (Roy) Rangel, Deborah Salazar, Daniel Salazar Jr. (Carmen) all of Taylor.  Brothers John (Tina) Salazar, Tony Salazar, Lupe Ortiz, and Carmen (Joe) Hernandez all of Taylor.

He has 7 grandchildren.  Sandra Rangel, Roy M. Rangel, Matthew Rangel, Jocelyn Salazar, Kade Salazar, Aivery Salazar, and Evan Hewtty.

Visitation will be at Providence Funeral Home on Tuesday April 16 ^th from 5:00-7:00 with a Rosary service at 7pm.  Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Wednesday April 17 ^th at 1pm in Taylor with burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Salazar, Roy Rangel, Roy M. Rangel, Raymond Chavana, Frankie Camacho, and Robert Ortiz.  Honorary pallbearers are Kade Salazar and Matthew Rangel.
