Clifton Maund Poole, 88 of Granger, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2018 in Austin, Texas. Visitation will be at 6:00 pm, November 16, 2018 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, November 17, 2018 at Providence Funeral Home, with Bishop Arnold Bratland of Teague Jerusalem Temple Holiness Church. Burial will be at Woodland Park Cemetery, 3600 S. Oak Ave., Mineral Wells, Texas 76067 at 1:00 pm, November 19, 2018.
He married Patricia Ann Marshall of Austin, Texas, he worked for Texaco for 35 years, Granger Pit Stop for five years, Granger Independent School District for 35 plus years, chef for downtown hotel (Briscoe Hotel) in Austin, Texas. He was awarded the Unsung Hero Award by the Black Heritage Committee. He was involved in FFA of Granger Independent School District. He received an award for his service of janitorial and bus driver from Granger Independent School District.
Clifton Poole is preceded in death by his father, Charles Poole, mother, Laura Poole, Utelia M. Poole-Anders, Ella Mae Poole-Gilford and brother, Charles A. Poole.
Clifton Maund Poole is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Marshall-Poole, TeQuella Poole of San Antonio, Texas, Milton Poole of Las Cruces, New Mexico, LaOisha Marshall of Hutto, Texas, James Russell Poole of Dallas, Texas, Janet Youngblood of Austin, Texas, Dolly and Henry Johnson of Santa Maria California, Dianeter and Darrell Randolph of North Charleston, South Carolina, Theresa and Sealious Park of Dallas, Texas and Kim Poole of Austin, Texas.
Brothers and sisters – Charles Poole of Mineral Wells, Texas, Joe Eddie Poole of Mineral Wells, Texas, Mildred Poole-Small of Mineral Wells, Texas, Delories and Dussie Poole of Midland, Texas, and Juanita Poole McCoy of Fort Worth, Texas.
