Cecelia De La Rosa Valdez

Cecilia Valdez of Taylor passed away on August 16, 2017.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p. m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.

Cecilia was born to Francisco and Julia (Alvarez) De La Rosa on May 28, 1927 in Rogers, TX.  She married Lupe Valdez Sr. on January 30, 1947.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She also was a very prayerful person and said many prayers for her children, grandchildren, and extended family.  She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three brothers, Miguel, Gaspar, and Baltazar and one sister, Josefina.

She is survived by sons, Lupe Jr. and wife Ernestine, Miguel, Rick and wife Lisa, Lee and wife Melissa; and daughter, Maria Elena and husband Eddie.  She was blessed 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers, Gene De La Rosa, Jose De La Rosa and wife Maria, Eusibo Ramon, and Pete Ramon; and sister Eva Maciel and husband Johnny; brother-in-law, Antonio Valdez; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
