Carter Burns

Carter MacAllen Burns, 5, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2019 at his home in Thrall surrounded by his parents. Carter has left many footprints on our hearts. He loved playing with dinosaurs, fishing, and making everyone smile. He will forever be loved and missed by so many. Though you are gone, you will never be forgotten.

Carter was born May 15, 2014 at Seton Williamson in Round Rock to Cody and Amy Burns. He attended kindergarten at Thrall elementary. Carter’s hobbies were the love of dinosaurs, sharks, and Spiderman.

Carter is predeceased by his great great grandparents Alfonse and Betty Stojanik; great great grandmothers Lois McVay and Elsie Krueger; great grandfather John Sandifer; great grandmothers Maggie McElroy, Nanette McVay, and Lavena Warner; and great grandfather Rayburn Burns.

Carter is survived by his parents Cody and Amy Burns; sister McKayla Burns; brothers Carson and Corbin Burns; grandparents Bob and Tracy Kerzee of Taylor, Tom Sandifer and Gwinda Casper of Pflugerville, Todd and Terry Hoskins of Leander, and Rocky and Frances Burns of Denison; great grandparents Marvin McVay of Taylor, Alvin and Sandy Faltesek  of Pflugerville, and Betty Harris of Mexia; aunts and uncles: Courtney and Victor Reyes, Heath and Angela Scruggs, Kalli Sansem and Brandon Hillin, Mckenzie Hoskins; cousins Kamryn and Autumn Scruggs, Cayden, Carmen, Carlee, and Creed Reyes; and several great aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Providence Funeral Home.

A gathering for family and friends will follow at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 409 Main St, Thrall, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Thrall Independent School District Memorial Scholarship Fund for Carter.
