Carolyn F. Hubnik

Carolyn F. Hubnik,77, of Thrall, Texas, peacefully went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 5, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.

Carolyn was born on May 5, 1944, in Taylor, Texas to Frank Bachmeyer and Clara Bachmeyer. She grew in up Thrall, Texas, where she graduated from Thrall High School 1962, and then received a bachelor’s degree in Education from Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos, Texas. After college, she spent the majority of her 40+ years as a teacher at Thrall Elementary and enjoyed every moment. In 1962, Carolyn met the love of her life, Steve Hubnik, who she later married at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church on November 11, 1966. They were blessed with two sons, Steven and Derek Hubnik. Throughout her life, she loved to travel, cook, dance to polka music, and spend time with her family.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her father, Frank Bachmeyer, mother, Clara Bachmeyer, and infant sister, Genevieve.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Hubnik, sons Steven (Sheri) Hubnik, Derek (Kim) Hubnik. Grandkids Shelbi (Coby) Jackson, Jordyn, Weston, Kellen, and Kendal. Great-grandkids Jax, Knox, and Lenyx.

Visitation will beheld Wednesday, November 10, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas from 5-6, with a rosary service to follow from 6-7. A funeral mass with be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor, Texas on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 1pm. Burial time is still being determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Serving as pall bearers are her grandsons; Weston Hubnik, Kellen Hubnik, Kendal Hubnik, and Coby Jackson.
